We sold this doe as a kid and recently had the opportunity to bring her back! I had only retained one daughter of Pepper Jack (Irish Melody) and always wished that I had a couple more in our herd. We lost Irish Melody to skin cancer this year so I was very happy when Alectrona came available to us again.
Alectrona (or Cupcake as we call her) is an old lady now and will hopefully freshen for the last time in 2025. I love the size of her teats and how easy she is to hand milk. She does struggle with some zinc reactive dermatitis so she gets a bit babied around here and that is just fine.
